Performed on two nights in St Mary’s Parish Church, Kidlington, this concert combines both traditional and modern music and includes short orchestral pieces. We have been able to raise a significant amount for local, national and international charitable causes. In 2008 we donated £1350 to each of the three nominated charities.Spring Concert
Performed at various venues, this concert usually takes the form of a choral work, sometimes a joint venture with Woodstock Music Society. To celebrate our 25th Anniversary in 2003 we staged a Gala Concert which included selections from Tom Jones, Merrie England, Kiss Me Kate and Captain Noah.In May 2008 our performance included 100 Years of Broadway and excerpts from Gershwin's Porgy and Bess.
Autumn Production
Performed at Gosford Hill School Hall, Kidlington in October, this is a full-stage production over four nights. Our planned production for 2009 is Fiddler on the Roof. Our past productions have included works by Gilbert & Sullivan, Offenbach, Strauss and Lerner and Loewe. Visit our Past Productions page for a more complete listing.Musical Director
The Society performs under the baton of Paul Ingram, our musical director. Paul has led the Society from the beginning and it is his vision and dynamism that have provided us with the challenges that continue to expand the range of the Society's repertoire.

Social Events
Various social events are also arranged throughout the year, e.g. dinners, theatre trips, quiz evenings, and river trips.

Rehearsals
We rehearse on Monday evenings at the Gosford Hill School, Kidlington between 7.15pm and 9.30pm during school terms, and as concert time approaches there are usually extra rehearsals with the orchestra.Although every effort is made to accommodate all those who wish to be on stage, numbers may be restricted dependent upon the dramatic and choral needs of the actual production. If you are in the show rehearsal commitment is quite significant.
Fees and expenses
Members pay an annual subscription fee, currently £50.In addition, for those taking part in the Autumn Production there is a production fee of around £20. For the Spring Concert a small music hire charge is levied where necessary.
KAOS is a non-profit-making organisation, but we do try to cover all our expenses and to this end, the subscription fee is reviewed annually. We also have the support of a number of Patrons but we do rely on members to sell tickets to all our concerts.
